• Many small jobs were also undertaken by committee members, staff, and their partners thanks to them.

• We have been very fortunate to have 3/4 Caterpillar volunteers to do lots of work around the building for 8 days. Mostly painting but also cleaning, odd jobs etc. A BIG thanks to the men and to Caterpillar for supporting the community in such a valuable way.

Hello and goodbyes

We said hello and goodbye to a Sunday Adult gaming group, they used the facilities for a few months but have since stopped meeting.
We said hello to new committee member – Alan Liddle - who first started at the Stute with the Saturday youth Club a few years ago, we are pleased to welcome him back and appreciate any help or support he is able to give.

Bits and bobs

2 Representatives from the Stute attended a Regeneration meeting held about Earl Shilton, thanks to Paul and John.
We received and thanked the local labour party for a £40 donation to the Stute’s funds.
Chairman Arthur Amos celebrated his 90th Birthday.
Committee member Geoff celebrated his 70th birthday.
A request to purchase a voucher for a Xmas present was received, this was quickly responded to and now vouchers can be purchased for gifts.
New covers were purchased for the snooker tables.

Thanks

Thanks to the Committee members, without whom the Stute would not exist, it is your time and interest that keeps the place open for the benefit of the community.

Past & Future

We are currently planning celebrations for the Centenary of this the Stute’s building. It’s 100 Years this year that the building was completed for the benefit of the community by its benefactors, the local businessmen of that time.
Plans are being made for various activities and events and we hope to be able to raise awareness and let the community know what facilities and activities are currently available and also to look forward to what could be available in the near future. Having lasted for 100 years we need to be open to new ideas to keep it going for many more years to come.
